Quick Tip: Adding your first product

There are two ways to add products to your website:

A: Individually
B: Bulk

The following example describes adding an individual product.

Prior to adding any new product to the website, please make sure that you have a good description and at least 1 decent picture. The website supports multiple images with its built in Image Gallery, and you may add them after the initial product is added.

Other content that you may add to the product description box includes: YouTube Video Clip Embed Code, PDF downloads, Audio Clips, Spec Sheets and additional links. All of this information may be uploaded using the HTML setting in the Product Description column of the Import Template File.

You may add and edit the enhanced content anytime you wish.

Manually Adding Products:
Step 1: Access your Control Panel and navigate to Product Manager and click on Categories & Products

Step 2: Navigate to the product category where the item will reside. You may add categories at any level and set your own sort order

Step 3: Click on New Product at the bottom of the page and complete the form. Your Help Section will provide you with a list of mandatory fields

Step 4: The Products Description box is much like a blank painter's canvas and can display text, pictures, videos and audio links. If you plan on embedding videos, please upload them to your YouTube account and copy/paste the Embed Code from YouTube (be sure to click SOURCE prior to pasting)

Step 5: After filling in all sections and uploading your image, click Update

Step 6: You will see the item in the list, be sure to click the Green Dot to activate the product
