Quick Tips

Quick Tip: How to run your first practice orders

Run a Few Test Orders
We suggest that you go through the process of placing an order, just like your customers, to experience and learn the check-out process.

Step 1: Browse and select products to be added to the Shopping Cart
Step 2: When ready, either VIEW your cart or click on Secure Checkout
Step 3: Fill out the New Customer details
Step 4: Provide a dummy credit card number 4111111111111111 and add a 3 digit CSV code plus an expiration date a few years from today.
Step 5: Feel free to add some comments
Step 6: Click Continue then Check the Order for accuracy and click on COMPLETE ORDER
Step 7: Check your email for a confirmation. This same email will be sent to you when customers place orders. It is your cue to log in and process orders.

Processing Orders
You will be notified by email when an order has been submitted by a customer. In
the spirit of great customer service, it is important that you process the order as
quickly as possible.

Open your Control Panel. Click on Order Information, then click on ORDERS.

Click VIEW next to the customers name and the order details appear. Please double-check for any questions or comments from the customer. You may reply in the area provided and click
UPDATE. Notice that a LOG of correspondence will re-main on the order detail page.

It is your choice to either fill the order from your store stock or send the order on to your Primary Vendor for drop-shipping. This is accomplished by selecting SEND at the bottom of the page. You may add a PO number or additional comments to the vendor. Click SEND when finished and you will see an entry labeled INFOSYNC showing the date and time the order was uploaded.

EDIT allows you to make changes to the order details. Clicking INVOICE or PACKING SLIP will open a new window with a printable version of each. Be sure to change the STATUS of the order after each session.

Email Templates
While communicating with your customers via the COMMENTS box while processing orders, you may find it helpful to use the Email Templates Tool. For example, say that you find yourself sending the same Welcome Email to all new customers who place an order. Rather than having to type each one out individually or copy & paste the body of the message from Word or another source, simply USE A TEMPLATE.
